ABOUT RECFLYER / DAVE RICHARDSON
A shared love of flying.

Hi, I’m Dave Richardson. I started RecFlyer to connect people who enjoy recreational flying across Australia—from ultralights and powered aircraft to gliding.
I own a Thruster and two Drifters, along with a scrapped Lightwing Pocket Rocket. I’ve also been learning to fly gliders, adding another perspective to my love of aviation.
My aim is to create a friendly place where we can talk aircraft, share flying experiences, compare notes and learn from each other. You don’t need to be an expert to join the conversation—curiosity and a willingness to share are a good start.
RecFlyer is an independent community, with no affiliation to RAAus.
